Arotech’s IES and
Taser International Debut the
Taser Judgmental Trainer at the 112th IACP Conference
New interactive system delivers
advanced training for law enforcement and government agencies deploying
TASER™ devices
September
21, 2005 - Booths # 1129 and 829, 2005 IACP Conference - IES
Interactive Training subsidiary, a leading provider of use-of-force
training products and TASER International, Inc. (Nasdaq: TASR),
a market leader in advanced non-lethal devices, today announced
the launch of the TASER™ Judgmental Trainer (TJT). The TJT
is an interactive system that delivers advanced simulated training
for law enforcement and government agencies deploying TASER non-lethal
devices.
The new system is designed to not only teach
officers how to use a TASER, but more importantly, when to use the
device and how to correctly react to real-world situations—using
the appropriate level of force—while protecting themselves
and the populace at large.
“By working closely with TASER, we have
developed an exceptionally useful system for furthering the training
of law enforcement and emergency responders,” said Greg Otte,
president of Arotech’s IES Interactive Training.
The TJT, developed by Arotech’s IES subsidiary
comes equipped with the TASER M26 and X26 User Course, produced
exclusively by IES’s Summit Training International. The system
incorporates the TASER device into the use-of-force continuum offering
a series of interactive training scenarios from verbal commands
to less-lethal force and ultimately, if the situation warrants,
lethal force—all based on TASER International’s safe
usage guidelines.
“TASER and IES have a long history of
working closely together to develop the most advanced interactive
TASER technology training available to the law enforcement community,”
said Rick Smith, CEO of TASER International. “The TASER Judgmental
Trainer is the latest example of our joint efforts to provide realistic,
ongoing training to law enforcement and government agencies that
deploy TASER non-lethal devices.”
“The TASER Judgmental Trainer demonstrates
IES’s and TASER’s dedication to meeting law enforcement
needs for advanced and ongoing force option training,” said
Robert S. Ehrlich, Arotech Corporation’s Chairman and CEO.
Arotech’s IES and TASER International
have agreed to an exclusive, joint marketing agreement that enables
the companies and their authorized distributors, sales representatives
and trainers to market the TASER Judgmental Trainer to law enforcement
and government agencies.
