IES Interactive Training, Inc.

September 15, 2003 - Arotech Corporation (NasdaqNM: ARTX) announced today that Arik Arad, a world-renowned security and antiterrorism specialist, has been named Chairman and CEO of the Company’s new subsidiary, Arcon Security Corporation. Arcon Security is a global security company that develops and markets a wide range of security solutions to help mitigate the risks of terrorism in the United States. Arad was also named Chairman of IES Interactive Training, Inc., Arotech’s use-of-force training subsidiary.

Arcon Security will focus on protecting life, assets and operations with minimum hindrance to personal freedom and daily activities. Arcon Security has also signed an agreement with Rafael Armament Development Authority Ltd., Israel’s leading defense research and development company, to market and implement Rafael’s Homeland Security security products and technology in the United States.

Arad, an expert on security and antiterrorism, has more than 25 years experience in working with government, military, law enforcement and Fortune 500 companies worldwide. His expertise includes assessing security requirements, security planning and implementation, security training programs and proactive security follow-up.

Arad has overseen security efforts for numerous companies and organizations whose worldwide operations pose the potential for terrorist activity. He has earned global praise for his ability to secure major airports, seaports, shopping centers and other high-profile facilities.

In fact, even the U.S. Government has drawn on Arad’s unique expertise. In 1989, Arad was asked to testify before Congress about aviation security; his testimony prompted government officials to change FAA regulations to meet his suggestions.

Arad is a graduate of the International Seminar Management Program (ISMP) of the Harvard Business School. He holds a bachelor of science in psychology and political sciences from the Haifa University in Israel. Arad also served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Israel Defense Force.

“Arik Arad brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Company,” said Robert S. Ehrlich, Arotech Chairman and CEO. “We are confident that he will build Arcon Security to a powerhouse in US security consulting and product sales.”
